About Me
The most important person reading this page is a potential client. If that’s you, then you’re who I’m writing to. My family knows all about me already, as do my past clients, my existing clients, and my friends.
But you don’t yet know me, so I’ll give you a brief introduction.
About Me Professionally
I’ve been in the remodeling, repair, and restoration construction business my whole life. I started as a kid working for my grandfather and worked in the family business for many years. Our specialty was insurance restoration (fire, water, storm, etc.) and I gained extensive knowledge of all types of construction during those years.
I became a State Certified Building Contractor in Florida twenty years ago at age 19. A number of years later, I obtained certification as a State Certified Roofing Contractor. My licenses allow me to build any building up to four stories from the ground-up, make repairs to any building of any size, and be responsible for design and installation of roofing systems of any type on any building.
I started my own construction company in 1999 and worked for the next ten years predominantly as a general remodeling contractor. Our company did design/build work and I did all the design work myself. While our work was excellent and our reputation strong, it was great design that we were best known for.
I’ve designed and built hundreds of projects ranging from room additions, to commercial interior finish, to large whole-house and historical remodeling and restoration.
I now offer all of the skills, experience, knowledge, and talent built over these years to clients in a design and consulting capacity which allows me to focus intently on those things at which I’m most effective and valuable.
About Me Personally
I’m a husband (20 years!), a father, a brother, a son… just pretty much a normal regular guy I think. I love to travel, I love the water, I love boats, airplanes, and motorcycles.
My favorite architectural style can best be described as “Island Tropical” and when asked my favorite color, the clear water off the coast of Southwest Florida (Cayo Costa State Park, to be exact) comes to mind.
I usually dress like I’m going fishing or I’m hoping to somehow wind-up the day lounging at some tropical seaside resort, though it rarely works out that way.
